Join us for an afternoon where technology meets inspiration, and leave with your very own game to play at home.
Step into the world of digital creation at our "Imagination Workshop: Exploring Creativity with Scratch'' this summer at the Hiawatha Public Library. It’s a place where teens will craft their own games, bring their imagination to life, and enjoy a slice of pizza while they’re at it. No prior experience? Perfect. This is about sparking creativity and empowering young minds to learn to make amazing things. We'll be using MIT's Scratch, a block-based programming language, to get up to speed quickly. Join us for an afternoon where technology meets inspiration, and leave with your very own game to play at home.
Instructed by Isacc Davis (he/him)
Isacc brings over a decade of experience from Collins Aerospace to the world of digital creation, where he enjoys the art of programming. He’s passionate about code's ability to uncover the underlying essence of concepts through lateral thinking and to draw parallels that challenge intuition. Isacc finds joy in the enchantment of a program coming to life, celebrating the empowering and almost mystical ability of machines to execute complex tasks with speed and precision.
