Hello fellow gardening enthusiasts. The Linn County Master Gardeners are back to teach gardening tips & tricks on a variety of topics Tuesday evenings in September.

September 5th: Culinary Herbs presented by Linn County Master Gardeners: Trilby Sedlacek and Paula Mitchell

September 12th: Once upon a time. . . Presented by Linn County Master Gardener: Sylvia Street.

Today less than .01% of Iowa is original tall grass prairie. Learn about the importance of tall grass prairies, of different plants and grasses, and the role of small
replicas in our modern-day environment.  A chance to give history a new look.

September 19th: Public Gardens of Iowa presented by Linn County Master Gardener: Cindy Fagan

This presentation will highlight the many must-see gardens that we have in our state. It will have logistics about visiting the garden, their points of interest, and
many photos of their garden delights.

September 26th: Spring Bulbs: Spectacular Signs of Spring! Presented by Linn County Master Gardener: Angel Burns

Planting spring blooming bulbs in the fall lets you get some of your gardening work out of the way for the following year. Most spring bulbs bloom in early spring and offer a glimpse of warm spring days ahead. We will discuss some of the most popular spring bulbs, a few select varieties of each, how to plant and protect those bulbs.
