Every Doodlebugs class starts with a story and ends with imagination and creation! All ages are welcome, but book selection is ideal for ages 4-7.

Doodlebugs is presented in collaboration with the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art and its Education Coordinator Erin Thomas. 

September 29-Surprise

Pop in to make a party pop-up mini-book that you can enjoy over and over. It’s part paper engineering, part sculpting, all fun (and no confetti to clean up)!

October 27-Eek!

It’s spooky season, so get ready for a not-so-scary tale and an art project that’s equal parts fright and delight!

November 17-Oops!

Turn an accidental drip or a silly scribble into a beautiful creation! Serendipity is a big part of art-making, so learn how making a “mistake” can be surprisingly lucky.

December 15-Aha!

Follow the clues and decrypt a secret code to uncover the artsy answer to solve the mystery at today’s Doodlebugs.
