These lessons will focus on the American or National Mahjong variation which uses a card to determine winning hands.

Mahjong is a fascinating, rummy-like game played with tiles rather than cards. The game originated in China. Like many popular games, mahjong has many regional variations.

These lessons will focus on the American or National Mahjong variation which uses a card to determine winning hands. The game is a combination of skill, strategy and luck and can be played with 3 or 4 people. It can also be played online. 

You may be familiar with this game if you saw the movie or read the book “Crazy Rich Asians.” If you have been playing Mahjong Solitaire on your phone app, you may be familiar with the tiles but the game is not the same.

Registration is required for each of the classes. Be sure to register today!
